Meeting Wynton Marsalis, her first gig for Mavis Staples, and then a collaboration with Snarky Puppy. Hence begins Judi Jackson's journey from Virginia to London, where she lives, studies and sings. There she composes "Grace,"" the new 2022 album recorded largely in Milan, which is establishing her as a worldwide success.

Artchipel Orchestra Bonsai Special Edition

For JazzMi 2022 the Artchipel Orchestra arrives, under the mystical energy of the northern lights at Volvo Studio Milano. Led by composer and drummer Ferdinando FaraĆ², a well-known face of jazz who has performed with Lee Konitz, Massimo Urbani, Tony Scott and Franco Cerri, among others, the orchestra is positioned as one of the most creative ensembles in contemporary jazz.

Mamud Band

The celebrated afro-funk ensemble returns to the scene presenting its new sextet lineup with the album "The monkey tapes," which, not coincidentally, comes out on Oct. 7. the band is known on the Italian and international scene for the prestige of the many musicians involved and for the importance of the artistic collaborations it has undertaken - such as those with Lester Bowie, Tony Allen and Jessica Lourie. Its sound is characterized by the fusion of ethnic percussion and electronic music, in an unstable balance between vintage and modern.
