The BAM welcomes Audi’s “United for Progress”. Shared values take the stage at Portanuova.

On the occasion of INTERNI magazine’s Designer’s week (from 16 to 23 April), Audi presents its new electric SUV on the stage of a vanguardist temporary installation by Mario Cucinella Architects and set up at the BAM - Milan Library of Trees. An event combining the values of the protagonists and location. The city of fashion and design, a creative propeller for new, sustainable mobility in a “man-sized” vision inspires both the District – in all its spaces, settings, and activities – and one of its most distinguished authors: Mario Cucinella. Audi has commissioned to the latter an installation representing the inspiring principles of the manufacturer and its newborn car: digitalization, performance, design, and sustainability.

The artwork, named United for Progress, is introduced as an “architectural event” in line with the green soul of the brand and the District, also thanks to its positioning within the BAM, Milan’s green lung designed for the community.

Harmonically integrated with the park’s geometries, Cucinella’s creation – with a shape resembling that of an infinity sign – is covered with wood panelling and has a central arena with sloping seating, lit by a full-LED integrated system.

United for Progress is an extension of the park: a place of encounter for the community and a place where the same meets its surrounding nature, in the District with an increasingly strong drive towards a more sustainable future.
